Our firm prepares and files trade mark applications including Australian trade mark applications and International trade mark applications under the Madrid Protocol.
At IP Gateway, we manage the prosecution of trade mark applications in overseas countries through the trade mark offices of those countries.
We also advise our clients on pre-grant opposition proceedings before the Trade Marks Office and infringement and cancellation proceedings before the Courts.
DESIGNS
IP Gateway advises clients on the registrability of industrial designs. We also advise clients on filing strategies for protecting registered designs.
Our firm prepares and files design applications and prosecutes design applications through to registration and then through to certification to confer an enforceable right.
We advise on the enforcement of designs including infringement of registered designs and the validity of registered designs.
DOMESTIC PRACTICE
IP Gateway has a strong domestic corporate client base in the growth area of South East Queensland.
Our attorneys counsel these clients in relation to their intellectual property matters including identifying and evaluating intellectual property, preparing and filing applications to protect their intellectual property and enforcing their intellectual property.
We act for a variety of clients in a diverse range of industries. In particular the firm has clients in the areas of mining and mineral processing, pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, orthodontics and medical devices, and also water treatment. IP Gateway also has trade mark clients in the apparel industry including the surfwear and footwear industries and the petfood industry.
Our office is strategically located on the Pacific Motorway which is a major north-south arterial linking the city with the manufacturing/technology areas to the north and south of the city. This enables us to be accessible to our clients and facilitates regular meetings with our clients. There is also ample on-site parking for clients.
IP Gateway has developed some informal relationships with other IP based service providers at the nearby Brisbane Technology Park.
OVERSEAS PRACTICE
IP Gateway has an extensive network of overseas associates. This overseas associate network is based on close working relationships that have been carefully developed over time. Our attorneys travel overseas regularly to visit these overseas associates to exchange information and to keep up to date with developments in these overseas countries.
